Welcome to Sar Pass — Where Every Turn Feels Like a New Chapter
Sar Pass is a story that unfolds step by step — one that takes you from pine-lined trails in Kasol to high-altitude snowfields and dreamlike meadows in the heart of Himachal’s Parvati Valley. Starting from the hippie haven of Kasol, this 5-day trek immerses you in vibrant forests, remote Himalayan hamlets, and snow-laden ridgelines. But the highlight? Standing at the Sar Pass itself, perched at nearly 14,000 feet, with panoramic views of the Tosh and Parvati valleys on either side. And if you’re lucky — a snow-slide descent that makes you feel like a child again. This is not just a trek — it’s a shifting landscape of mood, light, and terrain. Meadows like Min Thach, mystical forests near Grahan, and the surreal snowscape of Nagaru each feel like stepping into different worlds.

Day : 1
Kasol to Grahan Village
Altitude: 1,700 m to 2,350 m.
Trek Time: 4–5 hours | Distance: 10 km.
Begin your journey along the Grahan Nallah. The trail is shaded, lined with pine, and full of birdsong. As you ascend, forests give way to scattered fields and eventually lead to Grahan — a charming village perched above the valley. Camp under starlit skies.
Day : 1
Day : 2
Grahan to Min Thach
Altitude: 2,350 m to 3,400 m.
Trek Time: 5–6 hours | Distance: 8 km.
Leave the last village behind and head into wilder territory. The trail steepens and winds through thick forests before opening onto a vast alpine meadow — Min Thach. Camp here with spectacular views of the surrounding ranges.
Day : 2
Day : 3
Min Thach to Nagaru
Altitude: 3,400 m to 3,800 m.
Trek Time: 4–5 hours | Distance: 5 km.
Today’s ascent is demanding and often snow-laden. The forest thins, replaced by icy slopes and howling winds. Nagaru, a campsite perched dramatically on a cliff, is your base before the summit push. Expect biting cold — and unmatched Himalayan views.
Day : 3
Day : 4
Nagaru to Biskeri Thach via Sar Pass
Altitude: 3,800 m → 4,200 m → 3,350 m.
Trek Time: 7–8 hours | Distance: 12 km.
The most thrilling day! Climb to the summit of Sar Pass early in the morning. The snowfield stretches endlessly and the climb tests your will. But the moment you stand on the pass — wind on your face, peaks all around — you’ll know it was worth it. Then begins a thrilling slide down the snow slope (if conditions allow), followed by a beautiful descent into the lush meadows of Biskeri Thach.
Day : 4
Day : 5
Biskeri Thach to Pulga & Drive to Kasol
Altitude: 3,350 m to 2,400 m.
Trek Time: 4–5 hours | Distance: 6 km
Descend through a mystical forest and rappel down a short rock face before crossing a stream into the twin villages of Pulga and Tulga. From there, cross the Parvati River to Barshaini, and drive back to Kasol — bringing this unforgettable journey full circle.
Day : 5
