Bara Bhangal Trek

Category :

The Bara Bhangal Trek is one of the most remote and rugged high-altitude treks in the Indian Himalayas. This 11-day journey takes you deep into the wilderness of Himachal Pradesh, from the lush meadows near Manali to the desolate yet stunning village of Bara Bhangal, which remains cut off from the world for most of the year. What makes this trek extraordinary is its raw Himalayan drama — towering snow-capped peaks, gushing glacial rivers, and pristine alpine valleys. The route crosses not just one but two grand mountain passes — Kalihani Pass and Thamsar Pass, each offering jaw-dropping views and thrilling challenges. Bara Bhangal is not just a trek — it’s a test of endurance and a walk into a world few have seen. The villages you pass are home to shepherd communities that still live as they did centuries ago, and every campsite feels like it’s been carved out of a postcard.
