Journey Through the Mighty Dhauladhar
Indrahar Pass Trek is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most iconic mountain adventures — a 4-day expedition that begins in the vibrant hill town of McLeod Ganj and takes you deep into the dramatic folds of the Dhauladhar range. This 35 km trail is a soul-stirring blend of forest walks, alpine meadows, glacier basins, and steep ridgelines, culminating at the Indrahar Pass, which stands tall at 14,245 ft.
From day one, the trail surprises you — oak and rhododendron forests give way to sweeping views of the Kangra Valley. As you climb higher, you’ll encounter timeless Himalayan campsites like Triund, Laka Got, and the mystic Lahesh Caves. And then comes the big day — a demanding yet breathtaking ascent to the Indrahar Pass. What awaits is a 360° Himalayan panorama that’ll stay with you forever.
This trek is best suited for those with a basic-to-intermediate level of trekking experience, looking for a challenging but wildly rewarding mountain journey. And along the way, you’ll not only find landscapes worth every step, but also glimpses of Himachal’s rich village culture and warm hospitality.
